Tab Parameters

Enrolment Statistics Snapshots are created when the process STAJ8000 is run. This may be as often as nightly. Each snapshot requires the storage of large volumes of data. It is likely that only a small proportion of the snapshots created need to be saved for future reference.

The Statistics Specialist can determine which snapshots should be saved, 'flagging' these snapshot records by de-selecting the Delete check box for each, using STAF8000.

When this job is run, only snapshots with their Delete check box still set will be deleted.

There are two tables involved in this job:

For details on each of these tables, see below.

This form is accessed through the main menu.

The Delete VET Enrolment Statistics Snapshots block contains:

Parameters Tab

  • Number Of Snapshots To Keep
Rules/Notes:

The single parameter is used to specify the number of snapshots which should be retained. The job retains the most recent snapshots until the specified number is reached. Once the specified number is reached, all of the remaining snapshots with their Delete check box set are deleted, while remaining snapshots with their Delete check box de-selected are added to the set of retained snapshots.

Rules/Notes:

There is no output from this job.

Details for the ENR_STAT_SNAPSHOT_CTL_VET and ENR_STAT_SNAPSHOT_VET tables can be found at STAJ8000.
