Purpose

To create and maintain Graduation data that is used by other functions in the Graduation subsystem.

This form allows the following values to be defined:

• If the institution has a Graduation fee defined with a Ticket charge method, whether that fee should consider the requesting of tickets when ticket allocations have not been performed in determining the charge.
• The Allow Graduation Change indicator allows the user (online) to select the graduation name from an enabled poplist. If this is indicator is not enabled, the graduation name filed is disabled and the previously entered (by admin) name will display.

Administrators can also use the Identify Potential Graduands Configuration section of this form to configure some of the parameters for the Identify Potential Graduands job (GRDJ5700) and the online evaluation of Potential Graduands (GRDW5300) process. The parameters listed in the next section (see below) can be configured to appear during identification or in the evaluation forms, if applicable.

The Graduation Configuration block contains:

• Consider Requested Tickets for Ticket Fees (check box)
• Allow Graduation Name Change (check box)

The Identify Potential Graduands Configuration block contains:

• Progression Status Parameter Ind (check box)
• Graduation Ceremony Round Parameter Ind (check box)
• Potential Grad Clean Up Date Alias

• Filter On (check box)
• Credit Points Completed at least Parameter Ind (check box)
• Credit Points Predictive Mode Parameter (check box)
• Course Completion Rule Parameter Ind (check box)
• Course Rules Predictive Mode Parameter Ind (check box)
• Unit Set Completion Rule Parameter Ind (check box)
• Unit Set Rules Predictive Mode Parameter Ind (check box)

Notes:

The values defined in this form are applied institution wide. Where exceptions to the defined values are required, override selections are available in individual functions.

If the 'Consider Requested Tickets for Ticket Fees' check box is ticked, the graduand is charged for the number of tickets ordered even if they have not been allocated.
If the 'Consider Requested Tickets for Ticket Fees' check box is not ticked, then the graduand is only charged for tickets that have been allocated.

If the Filter On check box is not ticked then, when GRDJ5700 is run, students will be included as potential graduands regardless of whether they have met the Credit Point or Course or Unit Set Rules requirements.
If the Filter On check box is ticked then, when GRDJ5700 is run, students will be included as potential graduands only if they have met one of the Credit Point, Course and Unit Set Rules requirements. 
e.g. If the Filter On check box is ticked and the 'Credit Points Completed at least Parameter Ind' is set and the Course Completion Rule Parameter indicator is set then the student only needs to meet one condition to be created as a potential graduand.

To be able to select the Filter On check box, one of 'Credit Points Completed at Least Parameter Ind', 'Course Completion Rule Parameter Ind' or 'Unit Set Completion Rule Parameter Ind' check boxesmust be selected.

The Credit Points and Rules check boxes in the Evaluation section determine if the related items are displayed the (GRDJ5700) parameter form.

Either the 'Credit Points Completed at least Parameter Ind' or the 'Course Completion Rule Parameter Ind' must be selected.

Deselecting the 'Credit Points Completed at least Parameter Ind' check box automatically deselects the 'Credit Points Predictive Mode Parameter' check box and disables that field.

Deselecting the 'Course Completion Rule Parameter Ind' check box automatically deselects the 'Course Rules Predictive Mode Parameter Ind', 'Unit Set Completion Rule Parameter Ind' and 'Unit Set Rules Predictive Mode Parameter Ind' check boxes, and disables these fields.

Unit Set options must be in context of the relative course option, therefore Course Rule options must be selected first before selecting Unit Set Rule options, as follows:

• The 'Course Completion Rule Parameter Ind' check box must be selected first before you are able to select the 'Unit Set Completion Rule Parameter Ind' check box, and
• The 'Course Completion Rule Parameter Ind', 'Course Rules Predictive Mode Parameter Ind' and 'Unit Set Completion Rule Parameter Ind' check boxes must be selected first before you are able to select the 'Unit Set Rules Predictive Mode Parameter Ind' check box.

The 'Potential Grad Clean Up Date Alias' check box is used to determine when the 'Graduation Period Clean Up' job can be run for a Graduation Calendar.
