This form is accesed in the context of a Student Unit Attempt and when it opens, a rule check is performed to determine which Unit Enrolment rules pertaining to that Student Unit Attempt are currently breached. The user can use the the Waive check box to waive such rules or clear an existing waiver for a rule. The NO CURRENT UNIT RULE BREACHES lamp displays if the rule check finds no rule breaches. The form can be accessed from the ENRF3000 Unit Attempt form by selecting the ‘Waive Unit Rule’ button. To access this form however, the user must have access to the WV-IND-RLE step in ENRF01H0 and the status of the context SCA must not be UNCONFIRM. Rules/Notes: Applicable rules for the context Student Unit Attempt are determined and tested when this form is opened (except where all rules have already been waived). The Rule Breach message displays only if the rule is currently breached or waived. When rule waiver details are saved, rules will be rechecked in the background if the user has access to the AUTO-RLCHK enrolment step. The status of the effected student unit attempts will be updated as a result of the rule waiver(s), assuming no other rule breaches exist and no other standard validations are failed. Similarly, any rule waiver reversals will initiate rule checking and SUA status updates upon saving, if the user has access to the AUTO-RLCHK step. If automatic rule checking does not occur, a RULES NOT CHECKED lamp will be displayed in the form as an alert to the user. The lamp will not be re-displayed when the form is subsequently accessed. If the Include Reversed Rule Waivers check box is selected then logically deleted Rule Waivers will be displayed when the Rule is not currently breached. If the rule is currently breached, the record will be displayed irrespective of the setting of this check box. |

Rules/Notes: If a unit rule is waived, the Date Waived defaults to the current date and Waived Rule Person ID values defaults to the current user, but these can be changed. Only staff members can approve rule waivers. Consequently, the Staff Member checkbox in the Find Person form, accessed from the Waive Rule Person ID field, is permanently selected so that only staff Person IDs are included in the search. (To include both staff and student Person IDs in the search, select the Student checkbox.) Waived Comments can only be added if the rule has been waived. |
