CRSF2700 - Maintain Unit Version Rules

Purpose

To enquire on Unit Version Rules.

This form is used to enquire on the Unit Version Rules attached to a particular Unit Version.

Administrators with the appropriate security level can modify and create Unit Version Rules in RULF2000 via the Edit Rule button located in this form (CRSF2700).

There are seven Rule Types for Unit Versions:

    • Unit Co-requisite
    • Unit Co-requisite (Institution Wide)
    • Unit Incompatible
    • Unit Incompatible (Institution Wide)
    • Unit Pre-requisite
    • Unit Pre-requisite (Institution Wide)
    • Unit Translation Set
    • Unit Quota

The use of these Rules is explained in Unit Rule Validation.

The Rule Text field displays the detail of the rule for the context Unit Version. Where no Rule Text has been recorded for a Unit Version, an UNDEFINED lamp is displayed adjacent to the Rule Description.

This form is accessed directly from a menu, permitting Unit Versions to be queried, or via the Other Unit Details (overlay) button in CRSF2210 then the Unit Version Rules arrow in the overlay.

 

The Unit Version block contains:

  • Unit Code
  • Version Number
  • Sector
  • Unit Status
  • Title

The Unit Version Rule block contains:

  • Rule Description
  • Plain Rule Text
  • Rule Text

Rules/Notes:

The Rule Description field displays all Rule Types relating to the context unit version. If no Rule Text has been recorded in the Rule Text field then an UNDEFINED lamp is displayed next to the Rule Description.

The Plain Rule Text field is a display-only field that displays a description (in 'plain English') of a corresponding rule, created in RULF2000 or RULW2000 by a specialist user.
Note: This field may be populated from the 'English Rule Text' field in the Rules section of a Proposal (PAAW1100).

The Rule Text field displays the actual Rule for the context unit.

The Edit Rule button provides access to RULF2000, from where you can edit an existing Rule or create a new one. Only users with the appropriate security level have access to this button.
