Purpose

To create and maintain Person International details.

This form is used to capture visa and passport details for international applicants/students.

The form can be accessed:

• Directly from the main menu.
  Accessing this form directly from the menu allows the user to query details in the Person Detail block and retrieve a number of records one after the other.
  Or
• From another form.
  If this form is accessed from another form (for instance from ENRF3000 as a step in the Enrolment process) it opens with a Student ID carried forward as the context record. In these circumstances it is not possible to query any other person details.

Note that the Person query function in this form is not as powerful as that in the Find Person form (ADMF1211). Names are case sensitive and are best avoided as query criteria. To avoid delays in retrieving records it is preferable to use Person ID numbers as query criteria.

Person block

The Person block displays details of the student for whom Passport, Visa and Immigration Office Code details must be displayed and/or recorded.
For example, during the enrolments process, the international details of the enrolling student can be checked or recorded by selecting the button in the Record Enrolments form. This form may also be accessed directly. Students can be found (queried) in the Person block and Passport and Visa details recorded or checked.

International Visa block

The International Visa block is used to record and display Passport and Visa details for international applicants/students.
The Immigration Office Code includes details of where the applicant's/student's application for a student visa was made or is expected to be made from.

• Description

Rules/Notes:

The sub-blocks: Visa, Visa Application and Passport Details are used to capture additional information that is required for the generation of the electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) file from PRISMS.

Enter the applicant's/student's visa number in the Visa Number field.

The Immigration Office Code field is used to record the issuing location of the applicant's/student's visa. This must be a valid Immigration Office.

The Country of Citizenship is the country code of the country in which the applicant's/student's passport was issued.

The Nationality field is used to record the applicant's/student's nationality. This must be a valid country code.

To create a new International Details record for a person:

• Ensure that the correct Person record is displayed.
• Navigate to the International Visa block.
• Enter Insert mode.
• Select the type of Visa held by the applicant/student from the list of values (or key a valid value) in the Visa Type field of a blank record.
• Enter the Start and End Dates of the Visa.
• Enter the applicant's/student's Visa details, including their Visa Number and the issuing location (i.e. Immigration Office Code).
• Enter the applicant's/student's Passport Details in the appropriate fields.
• Save.

Only current visa details are displayed in Applicant Portal for international applicants.

To modify an International Details record for a person:

• Find the record to be modified.
• Make the required changes.
• Save.

To delete an International Details record from a person:

• Find the record to be deleted.
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
• Delete record.
• Save.
