Overview

This page is used to display details for a specific curriculum item (i.e. course, unit set or unit). These details cannot be updated on this page.
The details are displayed as they currently exist, but by selecting an earlier date, you can display the details as they existed at that date - based on existing audit tables.
The Curriculum Item Details can also be exported to an Excel spreadsheet.
The Curriculum Item can also be compared to another of the same type.

Page Navigation

The Curriculum Item Viewer page is accessed by clicking on the Curriculum Item code in the Curriculum Item Structures and Dependencies: Search Results page (CRSW1000).

The Structure link in the Curriculum Item Viewer gives access to the Structure page (CRSW2600) - Not available for Units.
The Dependencies link in the Curriculum Item Viewer gives access to the Dependencies page (CRSW2600).
The Timelines link in the Curriculum Item Viewer gives access to the Timelines page (CRSW2650) - Not available for Units or Unit Sets.
Current and Incomplete Structures, Timelines and Dependencies can be edited, but Complete or Inactive or historical (when a past 'As At' date is defined) cannot.
The CI Comparison link gives access to a CI Comparison page where another curriculum item can be selected to compare with.

To return to CRSW1000 (with the previous search results displayed), click on the Back to Search Results button.
To return to CRSW1000 (with a blank search request), click on the Close button.

The Close button in Structures and Dependencies pages, when having navigated from CRSW2000, returns to CRSW2000 in context of the Curriculum Item.

Field Descriptions

On entry to this page the Curriculum Item displayed is the Curriculum Item selected in the CRSW1000 Search Results.

To Display Curriculum Item Details

• Go to CRSW1000 and search for the curriculum item
• In CRSW1000 , click on the code for the Curriculum Item that you wish to view
• The curriculum item is initially fully collapsed.
  • To expand it fully, click on the Expand link.
  • To expand each part separately click on its Expand icon.
• Note: Access to any user-defined fields from proposals can be viewed here, but only if the user-defined field has been transferred via one of the Approved Curriculum Item Transfer Jobs i.e. CRSJ6000, CRSJ6010 or CRSJ6020.

To display the Curriculum Item as it existed at a previous time:

• With the Curriculum Item displayed, click on the Date Picker in the toolbar
• Select a previous date to display the Curriculum Item as it was at that time.
  Alternatively enter the date directly (DD/MM/YYYY).
• The 'As At' icon displays beside the date, and the historical details for the Curriculum Item display below.
  Note: The historical display is restricted to those fields that are included in existing CRS audit tables. i.e.

• When a date is historic, all timelines, structures and dependencies will be as at that date if a record exists at that date.
• Note that the user's view is restricted depending on their CSR form access, as determined in SECF0062 and SECF0063.
  e.g. If a user does not have access to CRSF1210 then they can't see Course Details in the Viewer.

To get back to the current view(today's date), click on the current link next to the date selector.

To Export Curriculum Item Details to an Excel Spreadsheet

To export Curriculum Item details to an Excel Spreadsheet, click on the Export to Excel link.
The name of the exported excel file will take the form: tCiViewerDetails-export-YYYY-MM-DD.xls and you have the option to Open, Save or Cancel the exported spreadsheet

All items in the viewer (CRSW2000) are included in the export. The exported data is added into columns in the excel spreadsheet according to the level they are in. Each lower level is moved over by two columns because the field labels and details will each occupy a column. Hence, for example, Level 5 details will display in column J.
Note also that fields such as CLOBS will not be exported.

To Compare this Curriculum Item to another one

To Compare this Curriculum Item to another one, click on the CI Comparison link.
Search for and select the item for comparison.
Click on the Compare button.
The Curriculum Items will display side-by-side and can be compared field-by-field. The details for both can be expanded and any differences are highlighted in the Comparison Curriculum Item. i.e. Different text in the Comparison Curriculum Item is strike-through and highlighted red. Context text that is not in the Comparison Curriculum Item is included in the Comparison Curriculum Item, underlined and highlighted green.
Click on the heading for the Context or Comparison Curriculum to open a Callista Webforms session in which you can directly edit the Curriculum Item.
