Use this form to record the institution-defined 'local' Secondary Education Assessment Type codes. Codes might include H, I, L, OP, T, V and Y. These codes are used in ADMF32C0 (accessed via ADMF3000) to indicate the type of assessment applicable to the applicant's completion of secondary school studies. Optionally, specify the State (or Territory) in which this assessment type applies. Specifying a state means that that particular Secondary Education Assessment Type can only be recorded against an applicant where the state recorded in ADMF32C0 matches. Leaving the State field blank means that the Secondary Education Assessment Type can be recorded against an applicant regardless of the state recorded in ADMF32C0. Each code may optionally be mapped to a TAC Secondary Education Assessment Type. This permits data supplied by TAC to be converted into institution-defined values for recording against an applicant. It is recommended that where the TAC supply this information, the mapping of institution codes to TAC codes be a one-to-one relationship. It is also recommended that wherever practicable, TAC codes should also be used for the institution-defined codes. This form is also used to map an Assessment Type to a Government-defined Secondary Education Assessment Type, using the Govt Secondary Education Assessment Type field. The Govt Secondary Education Assessment Type is reported as element 702 (Y12-RESULT TYPE) in the Applications Details File (see STAJ0510) that is generated by the institution. |

Certain 'secondary education scores' as recorded in ADMF32C0 are reportable to Government (refer element 369). Select the Government Reported check box (bottom of block), for the Assessment Type if its scores are reportable. This indicates that related scores should be included in Government Statistical Reporting. It also activates the Government Score Mapping button (bottom of block), which displays the Maintain Assessment Type Government Score Mapping form (ADMF02W1). ADMF02W1 is used only where the Assessment Type does not use the set of common index scores referred to for element 369. Otherwise it is greyed out. |
Rules/Notes: Once used in the System, Secondary Education Assessment Type Codes cannot be deleted. Select the Closed check box (bottom of block) to prevent further use. Once used in the System, only minor description modifications should be carried out. |
