Maintain Unit Activities

The Maintain Unit Activities application allows the user to select the units that are taught on an activity date.
It is embedded in the Attendance tab under the list of students in the Maintain Rollbook screen and is only available for Multiple Unit Rollbooks.

These units may be recorded in advance (when the Rollbook and Activities are created) or on an ongoing basis during the Rollbook period.

Initially this screen displays all the Unit Codes with their respective descriptions and all the Attendance Activity Dates as un-selected and enabled. Selected units can be associated with the activities defined for the Rollbook. If no Activities have been added into the Rollbook, then no association can exist. The user is alerted when there is no association between a unit or units and activities in the Rollbook until the association has been established with each unit for at least one activity.
A unit cannot be deleted if attendance records exist against an activity and that unit has a relationship with the activity.
New units may be added to the Rollbook any time up until the Rollbook is finalised.
Only Units that match the Teaching Period and Location of the Rollbook will be available for selection.
The same unit cannot be added more than once into the Rollbook. i.e. the Unit Code version must be unique.

If a unit is added to the Rollbook after activities have commenced and attendance has been recorded against the activity, the unit can be selected for inclusion on that date however a warning will be displayed to alert the user that activities have already been recorded for that date.

If there are no Attendance Activity Dates specified, then no checkboxes for the unit will be provided.

If the user deselects the unit checkbox while attendance has been recorded for the student, then a warning is displayed.
If the user clicks Save when there is an Activity Date without a unit specified, then a warning is generated.
If the user clicks Save when a unit exists that does not have any activities recorded, then a warning is generated.
