SSFJ0100 - Summarise Attend Activity Reference Data

Purpose

This job is used to set up data in Student Connect prior to using Attend for the first time. The data created assists in the performance of Attend.

  • Prior to using Attend for the first time.
  • Before the commencement of Student Self-Enrolment cycles.
  • At other times, as required.

This job is run to set up data in Student Connect prior to using Attend for the first time. Data will not be viewable in Student Connect until you have done this.

Run Details:

This job must be run by Administrators with no Organisational Unit restrictions.

Important: The first time the job is run, it should be run for all Teaching Periods within the current Academic Period. To do this, enter the current Academic Period, and enter a wildcard (%) in the Teaching Period parameter, then schedule the process.

All subsequent jobs may be run for a specified Academic Period, or an Academic Period and Teaching Period and/or Unit Code. LOVs are available. You can also run the job for previous academic periods, if required.

Important: It is recommended that the job is run before the commencement of student Self-Enrolment cycles.

 

The Summarise Attend Activity Reference Data block contains:

Parameters tab

Academic Period (mandatory)

  • Select an Academic Period from the LOV, or use the default value.
    The default value is the Academic Period for the current year.

Teaching Period (optional)

  • Select a Teaching Period from the LOV, or enter the wildcard to run the job for all Teaching Periods within the specified Academic Period.

Unit Code (optional)

  • Select a Unit Code from the LOV, or enter the wildcard (%) to run the job for all Unit Codes within the specific Teaching Period.


Rules/Notes:

Validations include:

  • The Academic Period must exist.
  • The Teaching Period must exist.
  • The Unit Code must exist.
