The purpose of this process is to manage the definition and population of Block Release periods for User Choice Apprentices. Block Releases are periods of time defined by start and end dates in which groups of students are scheduled to undertake a specified set of units dependent on quotas.

Course Offering Pattern Delivery Details

It is anticipated that this functionality will have broader application than block release management, extending to areas such as short course delivery, the continuous enrolment of non-apprentice TAFE students and enrolment/timetable groups.

The primary application of this functionality is the management of block release for TAFE User Choice Apprentices. However, it is anticipated that the functionality will have broader application than block release management, extending to areas such as short course delivery, the continuous enrolment of non-apprentice TAFE students and enrolment/timetable groups.

Because of the multipurpose nature of this form, different 'delivery detail' views will be provided. The selected view will depend on the nature of the business, as follows:

Assign student course attempt to one or more delivery groups, periods and units.

It is expected that this functionality will typically be used in the administration of block release for TAFE User Choice Apprentices, where a student is assigned to one or more course offering pattern delivery groups (CRSF1800). Each group has predefined delivery periods (CRSF1810), and each delivery period may have predefined unit offering options (CRSF1820).

It should be noted that, at this stage, the assignment of a student course attempt to a delivery group and periods does not result in automatic enrolment in the associated unit offering options (see above).
