Course Offering Pattern (COP) Delivery Details

The context block in the form will change dynamically depending on the context in which the form is called. It will be possible to call the form from:

  • CRSF1810 Maintain COP Delivery Periods (COP Delivery Group Period context), or
  • CRSF1800 Maintain COP Delivery Groups (COP Delivery Group context); or
  • CRSF1810 Maintain COP Delivery Periods (COP Delivery Period context).

The primary application of this functionality is to add further definition to the blocks of time (delivery periods) assigned to release groups, into which TAFE User Choice Apprentices students are placed in order to undertake the study of their chosen units. This definition normally occurs in the context of a COP delivery group (delivery) period.

For information about Delivery Group see Introduction to Delivery Groups.

In the case of short courses, the definition of one or more unit offering options for a delivery period will normally be in the context of a COP delivery period.

The ability to define one or more unit offering options in the context of a COP delivery group will enable the creation of enrolment "timetable groups". This will be of use particular use to institutions wishing to "auto enrol' students in units and unit activities based on a selected delivery group or groups (future functionality). It should be noted that when unit offering option details are created in COP delivery group context a delivery period record will be created in the background, but will be transparent to the user (see Processing section for more details).

This form is accessed through CRSF1800, via the Delivery Periods button (bottom, right), then through CRSF1810 via the Unit Activities button (bottom, right). This form is only accessed in context. The layout of the context block will vary depending on the type of data that it is passed from the calling forms.
