Overview

This page is used to associate a Statement (created in GRDW0300) to a Course Type (CRSF1110) for inclusion in an Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS).

This page is accessed via the Graduation Statement button in CRSF1110 in SMS Forms only. (It is not available from the main menu).

On this page you can associate the following to the context Course Type for inclusion in an AHEGS:

• An Award statement (GRDW0300) with a System Statement Type of STANDARD (added via Choose).
  
  Or
• Specific text added manually in the Text (or Rich Text) area of the page. This text replaces any STANDARD Statement (GRDW0300) previously associated to the Course Type.
  
  And/Or
• One or more Award statements (GRDW0300) with a System Statement Type of PATHWAY, FEATURE or ACCRED.

A statement can include details such as Admission requirements and normal duration of study, or provide reference to a university website.

Associating a STANDARD Award statement (GRDW0300) with a Course Type is not mandatory.

Only one STANDARD Award statement can be added to a Course Type, however, multiple 'Other Statements' can also be added (i.e. Award statements with a System Statement Type of PATHWAY, FEATURE or ACCRED).

The Standard statement and/or 'other' Award Statement text are inserted into relevant sections of the AHEGS template according to the System Statement Type (set in GRDW0300) for each statement.

Note that this page does not allow for versioning and does not provide an audit trail on changes made to the data.

This page is accessed via the Graduation Statement button in CRSF1110 in SMS Forms.

Note: The CRSW1194 page displays only the context Course Type selected in CRSF1110. It is not possible to view Award statements for other Course Types from this page.

To Associate a Statement with a Course Type

1. Perform a query in CRSF1110 in SMS Forms to retrieve the required Course Type, then click on the Graduation Statement button. The Course Type Statement [Course Type Code] page (CRSW1194) is displayed.

For field information, see Field Details, below.

2. Either:

• Click Choose to find and select an Award statement with a System Statement Type of STANDARD to associate to the context Course Type.
  Note: Only one STANDARD Award statement can be associated with the Course Type. If you select another STANDARD statement it will override the existing STANDARD statement associated with the Course Type.
  
  Or

• Manually type the required statement text directly in the Text (or Rich Text) area of the page.
  If a STANDARD statement is already associated to the Course Type (a Lamp is displayed if this is the case), then click Type In to display the Text (or Rich Text) area into which you can type the new statement text. This text will override the existing STANDARD statement (text).
  Note: If CKEditor is installed, the Rich Text Editor area is displayed.

3. (Optional) Click Add in the 'Other Statements' section of the page to find and select an Award Statement (GRDW0300) with a System Statement Type of PATHWAY, FEATURE or ACCRED (defined in GRDW0300).

4. Click on the Save button to save the statement(s) and close the page.

Context Course Type fields (from CRSF1110 in Forms):

All fields in this block are display-only.

Standard Statement

A STANDARD statement (created in GRDW0300) can be selected (via Choose) and associated to the context Course Type.

Alternatively, specific text can be typed into the Text area (via Type In) and associated to the context Course Type.

Other Statements

Multiple PATHWAY, FEATURES and ACCRED statements (created in GRDW0300) can be associated to the Course Type (in the 'Other Statements' section of the page).

Rules and Notes

• It is not possible to edit an existing statement that is already associated to the context Course Type. Instead, select a new statement (via Choose) or type in new text (via Type In) to override the existing statement text.
• Only one STANDARD statement can be associated to the Course Type. Therefore, when you select a STANDARD statement it overrides the existing STANDARD statement.

The Related Pages diagram in GRDW0300 shows related Statement pages as well as connecting pages from the Graduation and Correspondence subsystems that are involved in the process of creating an AHEGS.

For a statement to be included in an AHEGS, a Substitution Tag must be created (via CORW0400) to record an SQL statement that will call the statement details when the AHEGS is produced. Statements are called in hierarchical order according to the order specified in the Substitution Tags. An SQL statement can be edited at any time to change the statement information required in the AHEGS.
