This form is accessed via the 'Course Categories Override' button in the Maintain Course Offering (CRSF1300) form. This button is only available in context of a VET Course Offering Instance. (Note: CRSF1300 is accessed from CRSF1210.)

(Note: Course Category override records created in this form apply to a specific COI. Whereas Course Category records created in Maintain Course Categories (CRSF1130) and Maintain Course Categorisations (CRSF1270) apply to a specific Course Version.)

  • Calendar Type
  • Alternate Code

Rules/Notes:

Course Offering Instance block

The Course Offering Pattern block displays information related to the VET COI record selected in the Maintain Course Offerings form (CRSF1300).

The fields in the Course Offering Instance block are display-only.

Course Offering Categories block

The Course Offering Categories block on this form is used to maintain the unique identifier and description for each Course Category associated with the COI.

This block enables the user to:

  • Create a Course Category 'override record' for the COI (that was selected in CRSF1300), and
  • If required, indicate (using the Default check box) if the Course Category is to be used during Fee Assessment.

Once the Course Category's details are saved, the COI has an override record, i.e. the new 'override' Course Category record overrides the Course Category record created in CRSF1270 or CRSF1130.

Course Categories can be added or removed, as required.

The default check box is used to indicate if a particular Course Category for a COI is to be used during Fee Assessment.

A COURSE CATEGORY EXISTS lamp is displayed if the Course Category for the COI matches a Course Category for the Course Version (created in CRSF1270 or CRSF1130).

Validations:

  • Changes cannot be made to details in the Course Offering Categories block when Course Status is INACTIVE.
  • No more than one Course Category can be marked as the default.
