Course Offering

The Course Offering block (context block) displays the current Course Offering record (context record) from either the Maintain Course Offerings form or the Maintain Course Offering Pattern form. (This will be the same record regardless of the navigation route as the Maintain Course Offering Pattern context record also derives from the Maintain Course Offerings form. The displayed records in the Course Offering Option block are the offering attributes for the context record.

For example, if Course Offering A300 - Bachelor of Arts, version x, Standard Academic Year is displayed in either the Maintain Course Offerings or Maintain Course Offering Pattern forms, and the Course Offering Options button is selected, then this form will display A300 - Bachelor of Arts, version x, Standard Academic Year as the context record and any existing Offering Options relating to this record will be displayed.

Course Offering Option

This block is used to define the ways in which a Course may be studied. A Course Offering Option is the set of attributes which define a way that a Course may be studied. The major attributes defining a Course Offering Option are the Attendance Mode and the relationship to full-time study, Attendance Type. A Course Offering may have more than one Offering Option.

Navigation buttons:

  • The Admission Category button invokes CRSF1320 where Admission Category restrictions can be recorded against a Course Offering Option. These restrictions limit the availability of a Course Offering Option to students belonging to the recorded Admission Categories.
  • The Admission Calendar Type button invokes CRSF1350 where Admission Calendar Type Restrictions for Domestic and/or International staudents can be recorded for a Course Offering Option.
  • The Course Offering Option Notes button invokes CRSF1450 where notes regarding a Course Offering Option can be recorded.
  • The Course Entry Point Reference Codes button invokes CRSF1420 where Reference Codes for the Course Offering Option which are recognised by other systems can be recorded.
  • The Course Offering Option Unit Sets button invokes CRSF1282 where unit sets can be assigned to Course Offering Options.
  • The Business Activity button invokes GENF4920 where BAPs can be allocated to Course Offering Options.

For example, Course Offering A300 - Bachelor of Arts, version x, Standard Academic Year could be offered from the Falls Creek campus, full time and on campus. This would constitute a Course Offering Option.

This form can be accessed through the Course Offering button in CRSF1210, then the Course Offering Options button in CRSF1300.
