This form is used to record details of an applicant's prior Overseas Secondary Education.

This form is accessed through (ADMF3000), via the Sec Ed-O\Seas button (middle block).

When navigating from ADMF3000, the Person block in this form displays details of the applicant selected in ADMF3000.

 

The Person block contains:

  • Person ID
  • Sex
  • Date Of Birth

The Overseas Secondary Education block contains:

  • Completed check box
  • Year Obtained
  • Anticipated Completion Date
  • Result
  • Candidate Number
  • English Instruction check box
  • Country Code (LOV)
  • Overseas Qual (LOV)
  • Other O/Seas Qual
  • School Name
  • Notes

Rules/Notes:

The Completion check box (second block) is used to indicate whether the applicant has completed Secondary Education.

The Anticipated Completion Date is used for qualifications not yet completed or obtained.

English Instruction check box is used if this was the language used in the classroom.

There is a free text area after Overseas Qualification. This can be used when the Overseas Secondary Education Qualification Type does not exist in the available list of values.

In the Assessment Details Tab, the Rank and Rank Schedule is used to rank the Overseas Secondary Education qualification.

Use the Assessment Comments field for additional Assessment specific information about an applicant's Overseas Secondary Education qualification.

When there is more than one Overseas Secondary Education record recorded for the person, a lamp will appear indicating which record is diplayed and the total number of records.

Validations are:

  • The Overseas Secondary Education cannot be given a closed Verification Status (Assessment Details Tab).
  • The Anticipated Completion Date can only be entered when the Completed check box is set to ‘N’.
  • If the Other Qualification has been manually entered, then a Qualification cannot be selected from the LOV.
  • If the Qualification has been selected from the LOV, then the Other Qualification cannot be manually entered
  • The Anticipated Completion Date can only be entered when the Year Obtained is null
  • The Year Obtained cannot be entered if the Completed check box is set to ‘N’

The Verification Status Updated By and Updated On fields are populated if the Capture Audit check box for the selected Verification Status is set to 'Y' in ADMF0360. These fields are display only.

Record known prior Overseas Secondary Education details for the displayed applicant.

Mandatory fields for Overseas Secondary Education are Country Code and Overseas Qual. Overseas Qualification details are maintained in the Overseas Secondary Education Qualification form (ADMF02Y0). Selecting a Country Code limits the Overseas Qualification LOV to relevant qualifications only.

Recording Overseas Secondary Education subject details is not mandatory. However, if details are recorded, Result Type and unit 'Code' or 'Description' must be recorded.

Rules:

Admission applicant records cannot be queried in this form. It is necessary to return to ADMF3000 to select a different Admission Applicant record.

Country Codes and Overseas Qualifications may be linked in ADMF02Y0. If a linked Country Code is inserted in this form, a corresponding Overseas Qualification must be used.

Result Type must be UNKNOWN or a valid value from Result Type.

Cannot delete an Overseas Secondary Education record with a dependant Overseas Secondary Education subject record.
