Purpose

To allow the recording of institution-defined Admission Outcome Status codes.

Use this form to record the institution-defined codes for the status of an Admission Outcome. These codes are used to indicate the outcome of an application for admission. Codes might include COND-OFFER, NO-QUOTA, OFFER, PENDING, REJECTED,VOIDED and WITHDRAWN.

The data maintained in this form is used within the Admission Course Application Instance block in Maintain Admission Course Application (ADMF3240).

If an Admission Outcome Status has a System Admission Outcome Status of COND-OFFER, then a value must be selected from the poplist for the Offer Govt Reportable field to indicate whether or not the offer is Government reportable. If the offer is reportable, then it is included in the Offer Details file (see STAJ0510).

• Admission Outcome Status
• Description
• System Admission Outcome Status
• System Default check box
• Closed check box
• Offer Govt Reportable (Pop List)
• Explanation

Rules/Notes:

Each code must be mapped to a System Admission Outcome Status.

It is recommended that the mapping of Institution codes to System codes be a one-to-one relationship. It is also recommended that wherever practicable, System codes should also be used for the institution-defined codes.

Where more than one institution-defined status maps to a single System status, one must be defined as the System Default (bottom of block). When the System automatically applies a particular institution-efined status to an Admission Application, the default is the one it applies.

Rules:

Once used in the System, Admission Outcome Status codes should not be deleted. Select the Closed check box to prevent further use.

Once used in the System, only minor description modifications should be carried out.

There must be one institution-defined Admission Outcome Status with the System Default check box selected and mapped to each different System Admission Outcome Status.

Every different System-defined value must have at least one institution-defined value mapped to it.

A status cannot be closed if it is the default.

If an Admission Outcome Status has a System Admission Outcome Status of COND-OFFER, then one of the following values must be selected from the pop list for the 'Offer Govt Reportable' field:

• Offer is Government reportable.
• Offer is not Government reportable.
• Govt reportable when conditions satisfied or waived.

The Explanation field can be utilised within Callista Connect applications, namely in the Online Admission applications, to describe the status.

Validations:

• 'Offer Govt Reportable' code cannot be NULL when System Outcome Status is COND-OFFER.
