Structure Block Admission Fee Status

Use this form to record the Institution-defined Codes for the status of an Admission Fee.

These codes are used to indicate the current state of the admission application fee for an applicant, whether paid, outstanding etc. Status codes might include ASSESSED, EXEMPT, NOT-APPLIC, PENDING and RECEIVED. The statuses maintained in this form are used within the Application block in Maintain Admission Course Application (ADMF3240) to indicate the state of activity of the student's Application Assessment Fee.

Each code must be mapped to a System Admission Fee Status.

The Admission Fee Status block contains:

  • Admission Fee Status
  • Description
  • System Admission Fee Status
  • System Default check box
  • Closed check box

It is recommended that the mapping of Institution Defined Codes to System codes be a one-to-one relationship. It is also recommended that wherever practicable, System codes should also be used for Institution Defined Codes.

Where more than one Institution Defined status maps to a single System Status, one must be selected as the System Default (bottom left of block). When the System automatically applies a particular institution defined status to an admission application, the default is the one it applies.

Rules:

Once used in the System, Admission Fee Status codes cannot be deleted. Select the Closed check box (Bottom of block) to prevent further use.

Once used in the System, only minor description modifications should be carried out.

There must be one Institution defined Admission Fee Category with the System Default check box mapped to each different System Admission Fee Status.

Every different System defined value must have at least one Institution defined value mapped to it.

A status cannot be closed if it is the default.
