Use this form to record TAC Admission Codes. Refer to the relevant TAC handbook for a listing of codes.

TAC Admission Codes are used to define Institution Admission Codes in the Maintain Admission Codes form (ADMF0280). ADMF0280 can be called from this form via the Admission Codes button at the bottom of the block. When the TAC offer file is loaded into Callista, the TAC Admission Codes in the offer file are translated to Institution Codes which are recorded against students.

It is recommended that wherever practicable, TAC Admission Codes should also be used for institution defined codes and that a one-to-one mapping between TAC Admission Code and Institution Code be used.

The Tertiary Admissions Centre Admission code block contains:

  • TAC Admission Code
  • Description
  • Closed check box

    Button

Rules:

Once used in the System, TAC Admission Codes cannot be deleted. Select the Closed check box to prevent further use.

A TAC Admission Code cannot be closed if an 'open' institution defined Admission Code is mapped to it.

Once used in the System, only minor description modifications should be carried out.
