Purpose

To allow the creation and maintenance of Visa Type Codes.

This form is used to record and maintain the institution defined set of Visa Type Codes. Visa Types are used in the Record International Details form (ENRF3050) where passport and visa details are recorded for individual students.

The Visa Type block contains:

• Visa Type
• Description
• Closed check box

This function allows an institution to determine its own codes to represent the available Visa Types:

• Enter the new Visa Type code in the Visa Type field of a blank record
• Enter the corresponding description for the Visa Type in the Description field
• Save.

To modify a Visa Type record using this form:

• Find the record to be modified
• Modify the record as required
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Visa Type should only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description.

A Visa Type cannot be deleted if it has been used in a student's international details record. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box (at right).
