Maintain Attendance Activities

This screen provides users with the ability to define Attendance Activities for a particular Rollbook.

One or more activities are required before any attendances can be recorded in the Rollbook. The user may enter Activity Dates outside of the period defined by the Teaching period/s, however, a warning is provided to alert the user to the fact.

All Activity Dates in the Rollbook must be unique.  Activities can be added or modified whilst the Rollbook Status is PLANNED or ACTIVE. Activities can be deleted if no attendance records exist against that date in the Rollbook. Dates may be keyed directly into the date field or searched for and returned using the Calendar.

An Attendance Activity is made up of an Activity Number and an Activity Date. The Activity Number is automatically generated with the creation of a new date. The first date entered defaults to one (1) and the Activity Number increases by one each time an activity is added. Activity Numbers then automatically reshuffle whenever a date is added or deleted, so that the Activity Dates are always in Date order from the earliest to latest date in the Rollbook.

The first and last Activity Dates define the Rollbook’s Commencement and Completion dates in Maintain Rollbook.

See below an example of the Maintain Activities screen after a number of Activities have been entered for a Rollbook:

The Add Activity button is used to add a new blank row to record another Activity in.
The Save button saves the Attendance Activities and remains on this this screen.
The Cancel button exits without saving any of the new Activities
The Maintain Rollbook button saves the new Activities and returns to the Maintain Rollbook page

To delete an Activity select the Delete checkbox for the Activity and then click on the Save button or the Maintain Rollbook button.
