To enable the creation and maintenance of Government Occupation Types

Government Occupation Types are mapped to institution-defined values and are recorded to uniquely identify the type of occupation that may be expected for those undertaking a program of study. Government Occupation Types are reported in the NAT00030 Course File as ANZSCO (Occupation Type) Identifier values. This form sets up Government requirements for CRSF11K0 - Maintain Occupation Types.

The following are examples of Government Occupation Types:

GEN16 Clerical and Business - Non Industry Specific Training
GEN17 Basic Computing - Non Industry Specific Training

This form is accessed through the main menu.

 

The Government Occupation Type block contains:

  • Govt Government Occupation Type
  • Description
  • Closed check box

Rules/Notes:

To create a new Government Occupation Type:

  • Enter Insert mode
  • Enter the new code in the Government Occupation Type field of a blank record
  • Enter the description for the Government Occupation Type in the Description field
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Institution defined Government Occupation codes MUST be unique. 

To modify a Government Occupation Type:

  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Government Occupation Type should not be modified.

To delete a Government Occupation Type:

  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government Occupation type cannot be deleted if it has been used in an Occupation record. It can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
