Purpose

The purpose of this function is to maintain Government Recognition Types

Government Recognition Types are mapped to institution-defined values and are assigned to Course Versions. They are reported in the NAT00030 Course File as Recognition Status Identifiers. The form sets up Government requirements for CRSF11J0 - Maintain Recognition Type.

The following are examples of Government Recognition Types:

Value Description
11 ACCREDITED - Leads to national training package qualification
12 RECOGNISED - Not leading to training package qualification
14 OTHER COURSES

This form is accessed through the main menu.

 

The Government Recognition Type block contains:

  • Govt Recognition Type
  • Description
  • Closed check box

Rules/Notes:

To create a new Recognition Type:

  • Enter Insert mode
  • Enter the new code in the Recognition Type field of a blank record
  • Enter the corresponding description for the Recognition Type in the Description field
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

More than one active Recognition Type can exist for each Government Recognition Type.

Institution defined Recognition codes MUST be unique. 

All Mandatory fields must have data entered prior to saving the record. Mandatory Fields in this case are:

  • Govt Recognition Type
  • Description

To modify a Recognition Type:

  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Recognition Type should not be modified.

To delete a Recognition Type:

  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

A Recognition Type can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
