The purpose of this function is to maintain institution-defined Recognition Types. Each Recognition Type is mapped to a Government Recognition Type. |

Recognition Types are used to distinguish courses by their level of recognition within the VET sector. Each Recognition Type is mapped to a Government Recognition Type to enable derivation of a course's highest level of recognition as used in the AVETMISS reporting. See How the Government Statistics Process Works for details. The following are examples of Recognition Types:

To create a new Recognition Type:

Rules/Notes: More than one active institution defined Recognition Type can exist for each Government Recognition type. Institution defined Recognition Codes MUST be unique.

To modify a Recognition Type:
|
Rules/Notes: Once in use, an institution defined Recognition Type should not be modified. |
To delete a Recognition Type:
|
Rules/Notes: A Recognition Type can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box. |
