This form allows the creation of Assessment Task Result Schemas for use in the Staff Connect Rollbook application. An Assessment Task Result Schema must be selected in the Rollbook prior to any recording of assessment results against a student in the Rollbook, but will not be mandatory at the point of Rollbook creation.

The form will enable an Assessment Task Result Schema Code, Description, Version Number, Start/End Date, Comments, Result Code, Result Description, Competency and Participation Indicators and optional lower and upper limits to be entered.

Students recieving a Result which doesn't have the Competency Grade indicator selected, will not be deemed to be competent in that assessment task.

Students recieving a Result which doesn't have the Participation Grade indicator selected, will not be deemed to have participated in that assessment task.

Only Assessment Task Result Schemas with the Available in Rollbook indicator checked will be available for selection in a Rollbook.

A new version of an Assessment Task Results Schema can be created by using the Duplicate Record Above function - available via the Edit pull down menu.

The Assessment Task Result Schema block contains:

  • Result Schema Code
  • Version Number
  • Description
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Comments

Rules/Notes:

Alphanumeric and normal keyboard characters are allowable as Result Schema Codes.

User can override the default Start Date value of the current date when creating or updating a Result Schema.

End dating the schema is the same as closing the schema. There must be one, and only one, open result schema.

The End Date must be greater than or equal to the Start Date.

Start and End Dates must not overlap for the same Result Schema code with different version numbers.

The Comments field is optional.

The Assessment Task Result block contains:

  • Result
  • Description
  • Mark Range Lower
  • Mark Range Upper
  • Competent Grade indicator
  • Participation indicator
  • Available in Rollbook

Rules/Notes:

Results cannot be entered for a schema that does not have a current or future date range.

Inclusion of a mark range is optional (Mark range Upper and Lower).

When either an upper or lower value is defined for the Mark Range, then both must be defined.

The Upper Mark Range value cannot be below the Lower Mark Range value.

For the same result schema (including version number), the mark ranges cannot overlap.

When an End Date is set (previously an open end dated schema) then the end date must be greater than all activity dates in a rollbook using this current schema.
