Location Type

Explanation
A location type is assigned to each system held location to classify its use and to enable grouping of locations. These classifications are used in other subsystems, such as Course Structure and Planning, where location is an attribute of course offering option.

A location type may be assigned a system location type to ensure specific functionality.

The overflow area at the bottom of the form displays additional fields of the currently selected location type record.

Example
Typical examples of location types might be study centre and campus.
