Explanation

This form is used to record and maintain the institution defined enrolment method types. These describe the different ways in which a student may enrol and are used to define enrolment category procedures. (see Maintain Enrolment Category Procedure Detail - ENRF0192) ie. the procedures to be followed in enrolling students of a particular category.

Example

The procedure for enrolment of students is different where enrolment is in person to where enrolment is carried out using an interactive voice response system. By setting up two enrolment method types, FACE2FACE and IVRS, the enrolment procedure for each of these methods can be specified for each enrolment category.

To create a new enrolment method type record using the Maintain Enrolment Method Types form:

1. Enter Insert mode.
2. Enter the new enrolment method type in the Enrolment Method Type field of a blank record.
3. Enter the corresponding description for the enrolment method type in the Description field.
4. Map the enrolment method type to a system enrolment method type.
5. Save.

To modify an enrolment method type record using the Maintain Enrolment Method Types form:

1. Find the record to be modified.
2. Modify the record as required.
3. Save.

• An enrolment method type can only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description.

To delete an enrolment method type record using the Maintain Enrolment Method Types form:

1. Find the record to be deleted.
2. Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
3. Delete record.
4. Save.

• If an enrolment method type has been used to define an enrolment category procedure, it cannot be deleted. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box.
