This form is used to record and maintain the institution defined set of residency codes. These are comparable to Government Permanent Resident Codes (DEST element 390) specified in the Data Dictionary of the DEST manual, but provide for greater flexibility with the ability to subdivide government codes and to use more meaningful codes. Each institution defined residency code must be mapped to a Government Permanent Resident Code. Permanent resident codes identify whether or not a person is a permanent resident of Australia and are used for DEST reporting and validation of HECS payment options. |
