Users

Information recorded in the Course Structure and Planning subsystem is predominantly reference data. The ability to add, modify and delete data within this subsystem is restricted to certain categories of users who are the functional specialists responsible for maintaining details of the institution's courses and units. Most other users are provided with read-only access to this subsystem and will use course and unit details within other subsystems or through special inquiry or reporting interfaces. For example, course and unit details are used extensively in the Admissions, Enrolment, Assessment etc. subsystems.

Users of this subsystem should have a broad understanding of system wide features and functionality. This manual provides the necessary information in the System Overview chapter. Help for a specific topic can be found using the Index.
