To inquire on the unit levels of a unit version other than that initially displayed:
This block does not permit a query to be entered. It is necessary to:
  1. Return to the Maintain Basic Unit Details form.

  4. Select the navigation button for Course Unit Level.

Course Unit Level

Explanation
This block is used to assign unit levels to the context unit version to identify which year level of a course the unit is associated with. As units may be associated with different types of courses, a unit level can be assigned to a unit version for each course type with which it has an association.
Example
A unit HJ13012 - Social Science Research Methods may be taken as a third year subject in the Bachelor of Arts in Justice Administration but a first year subject in the Master of Criminal Justice. This unit could have a course unit level of 3 in the undergraduate degree and 5 in the masters degree.

To assign a unit level to a unit version using the Maintain Course Unit Level form:
  1. Enter Insert Mode.
  2. Select the course type which you wish to associate the unit level from the list of values (or enter a valid value) in the Course Type field of a blank record.
  3. Select the unit level which you wish to associate with this unit version and course type from the list of values (or enter a valid value) in the Unit Level field.
  4. Enter the weighted average mark weighting in the WAM Weighting field. (optional)
  5. Save.
Rules:

To modify a unit level to unit version relationship using the Maintain Course Unit Level form:
  1. Select the record to be modified.

Rules:

  1. Ensure that the correct unit version is displayed in the Unit Version block.
  2. Select the desired Course Unit Level record.
