Course Entry Point Reference Code |
Explanation |
Each course offering option is uniquely identified by a course code, version number, calendar type, location code, attendance mode and attendance type within this System. This form is used to record and maintain the codes used by other systems or organisations to identify a course offering option. For example: VTAC. Course entry point reference codes are defined by specifying the reference code type of the entry point reference code and a unique (for that type) Reference Code. Note that reference code types map to System Reference Code Types. Unit sets can also be attached to entry points. Applicants uploaded via the VTAC Offer Load process (ADMJ4200) have the mapped unit set as part of their admission application. |
An interactive voice response system (IVR) may use numeric codes to allow students to access, by phone, particular course offering options for admission/enrolment purposes. Thus the course offering option A300 - Bachelor of Arts, version x, Standard Academic Year, Falls Creek Campus, Full Time, On campus could be identified by a simple numeric code suitable for input on a telephone key pad, such as 15607. In the table, Reference Code Type PHONE maps to System Reference Code Type IVR. |
