Explanation |

A Training Package is recorded for a Course Version. Each Training Package is a set of nationally endorsed standards and qualifications for recognising and assessing people's skills. A Training Package describes the skills and knowledge needed to perform effectively in the workplace. Nationally recognised Training Package codes are typically used to identify each Training Package. |

|||||
Each training package is made up of one or more unit versions, and a unit version can exist in more than one training package. Each unit version in a training package has an effective start date (mandatory) and an optional end date. These dates will be used to derive the point-in-time content of a training package as at the commencement date of a student course attempt, for the purposes of course completion rules. The start date will default to the system date, but can be overridden. A sequence number has been included in the primary key of the training package unit table. This is to ensure record uniqueness while allowing the start date to be modified if necessary. The Owner Training Package indicator is used to specify the parent training package for each unit version. There must be one (and only one) record with the Owner Training Package indicator set. If a unit version has the Unit of Competency indicator set (in CRSF1210 - Maintain Basic Unit Details), then it is mandatory that at least one mapping between the unit version and a training package exists. |
