Occupation Type

Explanation

  Use this function to maintain institution-defined Occupation Type values. Each institution-defined value must map to Government Occupation Type value for reporting purposes.

Menu and/or STAF112L Maintain Government Occupation Type.

Government Occupation Type passed in context.

Start Up Mode

Insert Mode when invoked from Menu.

In context of current record when invoked from STAF112L Maintain Government Occupation Type.

 

To create a new Occupation type:

  1. Enter Insert mode.
  2. Enter the new code in the Occupation Type field of a blank record.
  3. Enter the corresponding description for the Occupation type in the Description field.
  4. Select the government Occupation type to which the new institution defined Occupation type maps from the list of values (or key a valid value) in the Govt Occupation Type field.
  5. Record any comments applicable to this Occupation Type.
  6. Record an explanation for each Occupation type. Occupation Type explanations are used as part of the GOVT-STATS application in Callista Connect.
  7. Save.

Rules:

  • More than one active institution defined Occupation type can exist for each government Occupation type.
  • Institution defined Occupation codes MUST be unique. 

 

 

 

To modify an institution defined Occupation type:

  1. Find the record to be modified.
  2. Modify the record as required.
  3. Save.

Rules:

  • Once in use, an institution defined Occupation type should not be modified.

 

To delete an institution defined Occupation type:

  1. Find the record to be deleted.
  2. Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
  3. Delete record.
  4. Save.

Rules:

  • An Occupation type cannot be deleted if it has been used in a Course Occupation Type record.
  • An Occupation type can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
