This form is used to record and maintain planning targets for the number of students enrolled at census date within courses.

Within course and funding source combinations, targets can be established for particular course offering patterns. They can be further defined to the unit set level within the course offering pattern.

This form is similar to the operation of the Maintain Organisational Unit Intake Target form (ADMF2M44).

Where an institution does not require the maintenance of targets for a course, they do not need to be recorded.

For further information on student intake targets, refer to the subsystem specialist overview.

To record targets:

  • Perform query to retrieve the submission period.
  • Perform query to retrieve the course version.
  • Perform query to retrieve the funding source.
  • In the Submission Course Funding Source Target Definition block, further define the applicant target by:
    • Recording course offering option combinations and unit set versions.
  • For each course offering option/unit set combination, record intake targets by:
    • Selecting the intake target type. These are maintained in the Maintain Student Target Types form (AMDF2M41).
    • Record the target value the institution aims to reach.
    • Optionally record the maximum value.
    • The amount type defaults to the value set for the intake target type in ADMF2M41. This can be overridden using the override amount type.

Rules:

  • A blanket or 'undefined' student target definition can be recorded for the submission period/course version/funding source combination by leaving the Submission Course Funding Source Target Definition block empty and accessing the Submission Course Funding Source Intake Target block directly. When performing a query in the Target Definition block, the 'undefined' record appears as the last record.
  • Only one undefined record can be entered in the Submission Course Funding Source Target Definition block for a submission period/course version/funding source combination.
  • All funding sources are available, unless restricted to those defined for the course in the Maintain Restricted Funding Sources form (CRSF12A0).
  • Where the amount type or override amount type is PERSON, the target and maximum values must be in increments of 0.5.
  • Where the amount type or override amount type is PERCENTAGE, the target and maximum values cannot exceed 100.
  • Where a maximum value is recorded, it must be greater than the target value.
