Explanation This form is used to record and maintain the set of Government Special Course Types. Universities are required to report to government, statistics concerning courses offered and enrolments in courses. These statistics included the attribute Government Special Course Type (element 312). A special course is a course which is of special interest to the Government. The values for Special Course Type are assigned to course versions. |

To create a new Government Special Course Type record using the Maintain Government Special Course Types form:

To delete a Government Special Course Type record using the Maintain Government Special Course Types form:

Rules/Notes: If a Government Special Course Type has been assigned to a course, it cannot be deleted. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box. |
To modify a Government Special Course Type record using the Maintain Government Special Course Types form:

Rules/Notes: A Government Special Course Type should only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description. A new Government Special Course Type should normally be created, in accordance with Government specifications. A Government Special Course Type can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box. |
