This form allows for security to be applied to System Web Resources, for example, CORW0400 is the Web Resource related to substitution tags.

A web resource is a logical group of pages within the application. Each group corresponds to a high level business function (similar to one Oracle Form) and can contain one or more physical page fragments. The entries in this table are used by the security sub-system to grant access to pages, and also by the menu to construct page URLs. For example, a number of CORW0400 screens may be available to allow the user to list, create or edit substitution tags. These are referred to as components and are defined in the S_WEB_COMPONENT table.

The Web Resources defined in this form will be available for selection in SECF0062, SECF0063, and SECF0061.

To make a System Web Resource available to users it must be granted to a user or a role via SMS forms SECF0062 and SECF0063 respectively.

To make a System Web Resource available from the menu, System Web Resources must be allocated to a menu in SECF0061 (the same way Forms and jobs are allocated to menus). Please note that only System Web Resources that have the Menu Access indicator set can be added to the menu. This configuration will apply to both the Callista SMS Forms menu and Callista SMS ADF menu.

SECF0081 also allows for the association of components with the Web Resource. These components are defined in SECF0082.

SECF0081 may be accessed directly from the main menu.

Note that in versions of Callista prior to Release version 15.0, the security (Person Web Page Grants & Role Web Page Grants) for Oracle 10g ADF pages was applied in the S_WEB_PAGE table which was accessed via SECF0080.
For Callista versions 15.0 and later, the security (Person Web Resource Grants & Role Web Resource Grants) for 11g ADF pages is stored in the S_WEB_RESOURCE table which is accessed via SECF0081.

For Technical Information relating to ADF security infrastructure, refer to the Callista Development Centre - wiki.callista.com.au/display/CDC.

The System Web Resource block contains:

  • System Web Resource
  • Description
  • System Web Resource Type
  • Title
  • Short Title
  • Securable check box
  • Public Access check box
  • Menu Access check box
  • Query Only Mode Valid check box

The System Web Resource Component block contains:

  • System Web Component Code
  • System Web Component Type
  • Entry Point check box

Rules/Notes:

A System Web Component cannot be linked to a System Web Resource if it has already been linked to another System Web Resource.

System Web Resource Type

May be TASK, LIBRARY or APP.

Securable Check Box

This check box determines whether the resource can be secured. This check box will be selected by default, which will be the requirement for most web resources in order that they can be controlled by Callista's Security facility.

Public Access check box

This check box determines whether the resource is available for public access. The default value for this is 'N' which will be the case for most web resources. i.e. they cannot be accessed without a Callista logon.

Menu Access check box

The Menu Access indicator distinguishes between Web Resources that are accessible directly from Menus/Sub-Menus (see SECF0061) and those which can only be accessed indirectly from other Web Resources. An example is CORW0400 which can only be accessed from CORW0500. Likewise, PRDW0510 is only accessible from PRDW0500 (via the New icon).

  • Select the Menu Access checkbox to enable the Web Resource to be accessible from the main menu.
  • Deselect the Menu Access checkbox if the Web Resource is to be accessed from within another Web Resource and not from the main menu.

Appropriate grants (Security Role or Person-based) must still be registered for non-menu acccessible Web Resources that are accessible indirectly from within another Web Resource (see SECF0062).

Query Only Mode Valid - check box

This indicator determines whether or not it is valid for the form to be run in query mode.
Note: This only applies to forms, as ADF pages cannot be run in query mode.

Entry Point Check Box

This indicator determines if the System Web Resource Component is the initial screen displayed for this System Web Resource.
