This form enables you to define the types of documents that can be stored in Callista. Document Types describe the content of the document. Examples of document types may be academic transcript, Testamur or Supervisor Reference. A maximum size can be recorded for a document type which will restrict the maximum size of individual documents that can be submitted.

This form is accessed from the main menu.

 

The Document Type block contains:
  • Document Type
  • Description
  • System Document Type
  • Maximum Size (MB)
  • Closed check box
  • AP Upload Avail
  • Assessor Lite Avail
  • Explanation
Rules/Notes:

If the AP Upload Avail check box is selected then the document type will be available for upload in Applicant Portal (APEDUPLD).
If the Assessor Lite Avail check box is selected then the document type will be available for selection and viewing in the Admission Assessor page (ADMW1100).

 

To create a new Document Type:
  • Press the <F6> key to insert a record
  • Type a name for the Document Type
  • Type a Description
  • Select the appropriate System Document Type using the LOV
  • Record the Maximum size.
  • Optionally add a relevant Comment or Explanation
Rules/Notes:

You cannot create a Document Type for a closed System Document Type.
Values higher than 2000 cannot be recorded in the Maximum Size (MB) field.

 


To modify a Document Type:
  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record
  • Save
 
Rules/Notes:
To delete a Document Type:
  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record
  • Save
Rules/Notes:

If you attempt to delete a Document Type which has already been used in the creation of a document, then an error message 'Cannot delete Document Type while dependent Document exists' will be displayed.
