Purpose

The purpose of this process is to record and maintain Prior Educational Achievement Recognition Identifier values which will be used in ENRF30A0.

Prior Educational Achievement Recognition Identifier codes are recorded for VET students' Prior Education records in ENRF30A0. These codes identify whether the Prior Education Achievement Identifier reported is based on an International qualification, Australian equivalence or an Australian qualification.

They are reported, for students in Victorian VET institutions, in the NAT00100 file. Current valid values for this element are: A – Australian, E – Australian Equivalent and I – International.

This form is accessed via the main menu but is only available to VET and cross-sector institutions.

The Prior Educational Achievement Recognition Identifier block contains:

• Prior Educational Achievement Recognition Identifier
• Description
• Closed check box
• Comments
• Explanation

Rules/Notes:

• Enter Prior Educational Achievement Recognition Identifier code
• Record a Description to provide more information about this identifier.
• Record information in the Explanation and Comments text boxes if appropriate.
• Save.

Information in the Explanation field will be displayed in the VETSTATS application in Student Connect.

• Find the record to be modified.
• Modify the record as required.
• Save.

• Find the record to be deleted.
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
• Delete record.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

You cannot delete a Prior Educational Achievement Recognition Identifier code if it has been used for a student's Prior Education record.

A Prior Educational Achievement Recognition Identifier code can be closed to prevent any further use, by selecting the Closed check box.
