This form is used to record and maintain the set of Course Types determined by an institution. These are comparable to Government Course Types but provide for greater flexibility by permitting classification at a more detailed level and the use of Course Type names specific to individual institutions. Each institution-defined Course Type must be mapped to a Government Course Type. A Course Type can be mapped to the same Government Course Type. HE
Example:
An institution may have a local name for the Government Course Code 41 - Cross-institution program for undergraduate course, say 'Shared Program'. This could be given a unique code, say SHARED.
VET Example:
In cross-sector Callista and HE installations, when a Course Type is created in STAF1121, it can be related to either the HE or VET sector. Both VET- and HE-specific fields display for all Course Types in CRSF1110.. i.e. The range of fields displayed in this form depends on whether, Your Callista installation is for HE, VET or VET/HE (cross sector).
