A relationship must exist between the unit offering option Grading Schema and the overriding Course Offering Pattern Grading Schema. This relationship is created in the Maintain Grading Schema Grade Translation (ASSF5120). Update Process This job translates Student Unit Attempt Outcomes where:
Outcomes are always keyed/recorded using the unit Offering Option Grading Schema. If the above conditions are satisfied, the translation process updates the existing outcome Grade based on the mapping that exists between the Grade in the unit Offering Option Grading Schema and the Grade in the Course Offering Pattern Grading Schema. For example: the keyed unit Offering Option Grade is D - Distinction. The unit Offering Option Grading Schema is mapped to a PASS-FAIL Course Offering Pattern Schema, such that all pass Grades are linked to the Grade PASS. When the translation process is run, the 'D' grade is updated (translated) to PASS. Run Details This job is run at the end of the results processing cycle in teaching or Assessment Periods and before the finalisation of outcomes. This job can only be run in batch mode. Refer to the Job Control and Scheduling Subsystem for details on scheduling and running a batch job. |
