This form is used to:
An Assessment Pattern is a grouping of Assessment Items. Patterns are used primarily in cases where students have some choice of assessment method in a unit. For example, an examination and three assignments, or an examination and a major project. Typically, each student is allocated only one Assessment Pattern, but multiples are permitted. When viewing Assessment Patterns assigned to Student Unit Attempts, an Assessment Pattern may display an INVALID lamp. This occurs when the Assessment Pattern is no longer valid for the Student Unit Attempt. Invalid Assessment Patterns are:

Perform query to locate students. Queries can be performed on combinations of any fields except name, in the Student Unit Attempt block. Select the student.
Queries can be performed on Student Unit Assessment Patterns (bottom block). Selecting the Include Deleted Patterns check box allows previously attached Assessment Patterns to be displayed for the Student Unit Attempt. |
Rules/Notes: Assessment Patterns cannot be added to a Student Unit Attempt where the Unit Assessment Pattern restrictions (Location Code, Unit Mode and/or Unit Class) are in conflict with the unit offering option restrictions. Assessment Patterns can only be added to Student Unit Attempts of ENROLLED or UNCONFIRMED. |
