Use this form to record the institution-defined codes for the status of an Admission Offer Response. These codes are used to indicate an applicant's response to an offer. Statuses might include ACCEPTED, DEFERRAL, LAPSED, NOT-APPLIC, PENDING and REJECTED. The data maintained in this form is used within the Admission Course Application Instance block in Maintain Admission Course Application (ADMF3240). This form is also used to map an Admission Offer Response Status to a Government-defined Offer Response Status (using the Govt Admission Offer Response Status field). The Govt Admission Offer Response Status is reported as Element E723 in the Offer Details file (see STAJ0510) generated by the institution. |
The Admission Offer Response Status block contains:

Rules/Notes: The Govt Admission Offer Response Status field is used to map an Admission Offer Response Status to a Government-defined Offer Response. When the Applicant Portal Available check box selected, the

Each code must be mapped to a System Admission Offer Response Status. It is recommended that the mapping of Institution codes to System codes be a one-to-one relationship. It is also recommended that wherever practicable, System codes should also be used for the institution-defined codes. Where more than one institution-defined status maps to a single System status, one must be defined as the System Default (bottom of block). When the System automatically applies a particular institution-defined status to an Admission Offer Response, the default is the one it applies. |
Rules/Notes: Once used in the system, Admission Offer Response Status codes should not be deleted. Select the Closed check box to prevent further use. Once used in the system, only minor description modifications should be carried out. There must be one institution-defined Admission Entry Qualification Status with the System Default check box selected and mapped to each different System Admission Entry Qualification Status. Every different system-defined value must have at least one institution-defined value mapped to it. A status cannot be closed if it is the default status. The Explanation field can be utilised within Callista Connect applications, namely in the Online Admission applications, to describe the status. |
