STAF113F -Maintain Maximum Student Contribution Overrides

Purpose

To allow the creation and maintenance of Maximum Student Contribution Overrides codes as defined by DIISRTE and link them to Fee Types and Fee Categories.

Structure Blocks Maximum Student Contribution Override

 

This form allows an institution to define Maximum Student Contribution Override codes and link them to a Fee Category and Fee Type.

These values may be recorded in the Course Student Status or the Unit Student Status tabs in the Record Student Status form (ENRF3110) and are used in determining the Maximum Contribution Indicator code.
The Maximum Student Contribution indicator (Element 392 ) is reported to DIISRTE in the Load Liability file (LL) - see STAJ0140, and the Revised Load Liability file (RL) - see STAJ0160.

A Maximum Student Contribution indicator code that indicates which maximum student contribution was used in calculating the student contribution amount.
The Maximum Student Contribution indicator codes defined by DIISRTE are listed below:

0 -

Student is student contribution exempt, or is a non-Commonwealth supported student.

4 -

Student contribution has been calculated using the maximum for students who began their course of study  prior to 1 January 2008.

3 -

Student contribution has been calculated using the maximum for students who began their course of study on or after 1 January 2008 and prior to 1 January 2009.

5 -

Student contribution has been calculated using the maximum for students who began their course of study on or after 1 January 2009 and prior to 1 January 2010.

6 -

Student contribution has been calculated using the maximum for students who began their course of study on or after 1 January 2010.


 

The Maximum Student Contribution Override block contains:

  • Override Code
  • Description
  • Fee Type
  • Fee Category

Rules/Notes:

Fee Types are defined in FINF2100.
Fee Categories are defined in FINF2800
.

Each code must have an associated Fee Type and Fee Category.
