Explanation

This form is used to record and maintain the set of Government permanent resident codes. Universities are required to report each student's Australian residency status to Government. The codes for reporting this data are specified in the DIISRTE manual (element 390). Where a set of user defined permanent resident codes has been defined (ENRF01C0), each must be mapped to a particular Government Permanent Resident Code.

Rules/Notes:

The parameters used when running the Create Enrolment Statistics Snapshot job (STAJ0100) (Academic Period, Collection Year) are automatically recorded in the comments field of the snapshot record, in this form.

To create a new Government permanent resident code record using the Maintain Government Permanent Resident Codes form:

  • Enter Insert mode.
  • Enter the new code in the Govt Permanent Resident Code field of a blank record.
  • Enter the corresponding description for the code in the Description field.
  • Save.

To modify a Government permanent resident code record using the Maintain Government Permanent Resident Codes form:

  • Find the record to be modified.
  • Modify the record as required.
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Government permanent resident code can only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description.

To delete a Government permanent resident code record using the Maintain Government Permanent Resident Codes form:

  • Find the record to be deleted.
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
  • Delete record.
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Government permanent resident code cannot be deleted if it has been assigned to a user defined permanent resident code. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box.
