Record of Student Contact

This screen allows the user to capture the details of contact made with students. Such contact might either be lecturer or student initiated and may take on the form of face-to-face conversation, a telephone call, mail or an email. The Contact Type values and whether they constitute 'Participation' for the unit, are recorded in ENRF01Z5.

The Contact Details screen provides the ability for an authorised user to update an existing contact record, add a new contact and define the contact type, and view all of the contact history recorded for a student in a Rollbook.  The history will be sorted from the most recent date at the top of the list, to the oldest date at the bottom of the list.

To open the Record Student Contact page click on the student contact button button in Maintain Rollbooks.

When the user captures the Contact Details, they will be able to define the type of contact being made. They also have the ability to record free text information to describe in more detail the contact that occurred.

To record contact with a student:

The Record Student Contact screen for a Multiunit Rollbook is the same except that multiple units may be present in the Student Details section and an additional column for recording details is included. For Multiunit Rollbooks, the user will be required to select the unit/s that the contact is relevant for and the Contact Type selected will apply to all units chosen.
