This form is used to create and maintain Javascript function elements for insertion into Callista Connect web pages. Javascript, an extension of HTML, is an application development language that enables enhanced web page features. Uses include form validations (on client machines), text scrollers, special text effects and current day display.

For more details on the creation of web pages refer to the specialist topic Understanding the Web Administrator.

7. The Tags in Property indicator is used when entering code into the Property block and HTML tags are used. When entering the javascript into a web page, the system automatically places HTML tags around the code in the web page. If the tags have been recorded in the property block and the indicator has not been selected, the tags in the Property block appear in the web page along with the javascript. If the indicator is selected, the system does not insert its own tags and uses those recorded in the Property block.

8. If the Style Override indicator is selected, the global or individual style overrides any inline style elements applied to the javascript. If the Style Override is unchecked, an inline style applied to the javascript overrides the global or individual style for the element unless it has been listed as a replacement element in the global or individual style.

9. Select the Closed indicator to prevent further use of the javascript function.

10. Unwanted web Javascript functions can be removed by selecting the Delete button.

Rules/Notes:

A web Javascript function cannot be deleted if it is currently being used in a web page.
