This form is used to creates and maintains verification criteria against a Scholarship Offering Instance

Scholarships

This form is used to define verification rules or criteria for a Scholarship Offering Instance. These can then be used to verify a Scholarship holder’s ongoing eligibility.
There are 2 tabs in the form, one for Verification Rules, and the other for Manual Verification Criteria.
The Verification Rules tab displays the list of relevant Scholarship Eligibility Rules available. There is a button on this tab which navigates to RULF2000 where a rule, of the type selected, can be composed. To see a description of the Scholarship rules which can be created, look at Scholarship Rules.
The Manual Verification Criteria tab provides fields to allow the user to apply criteria that cannot be automatically verified. There is also an Information field to display the full details and instructions for each criterion. Manual Verification Criteria can be defined in SCHF0355.

This form can be accessed by clicking on the Verification button in SCHF0510.

The Scholarship Offering Instance block contains:

• Scholarship Code
• Version Number
• Status
• Title
• Scholarship Category
• Calendar Type
• Start Date
• End Date

The Manual Verification Tab contains:

Rules/Notes:

Details in the Scholarship Offering Instance block cannot be modified.

The Edit Rule button navigates to RULF2000 where a Rule of the type selected in this tab can be edited.

On the Verification Rule Tab, an UNDEFINED lamp is displayed alongside each Rule Description for which there is no rule defined.

Verification Code LOV values are maintained in SCHF0355.

To create a Verification rule for this SOI:

• Query for the Scholarship version in SCHF0500 and click on the Offerings button
• Select the Offering and Instance in SCHF0510 and click on the Verification button.
• In SCHF0600,select the Verification Rule Tab
• Select the appropriate rule description value and click on the Edit Rule button.
• In RULF2000, compose the rule and save.

Rules/Notes:

When a new verification rule is created for a scholarship offering instance which has already been granted to students, a message is displayed stating: 'Person Scholarships currently exist for this Scholarship Offering Instance. This rule will be applied to new Person Scholarships and not added to existing Person Scholarships.'

When a verification rule for a scholarship offering instance is modified, a message is displayed stating that : 'If a Person Scholarships exist for this Scholarship Offering Instance. Rule changes may impact subsequent verifications. Verifying rules after rule changes will be based on the new rule format.'

To create Manual Verification Criteria for this SOI:

• Query for the Scholarship version in SCHF0500 and click on the Offerings button
• Select the Offering and Instance in SCHF0510 and click on the Verification button.
• In SCHF0600,select the Manual Verification Criteria Tab
• Select the appropriate Verification Code value.
• Add Comments, if required, and then save.
