Purpose

The purpose of this process is to maintain Training Provider Types.

Organisational Structure

This function enables the mapping of institution-defined training provider types to Government-defined training provider types. This information is then defined against a Location, which in turn can be defined against a Course Offering Option and Course Offering Pattern.

This information is used in deriving the required information for national data collection reported for AVETMISS.

This form is accessed from the main menu or STAFF112Q, via the Training Provider Type button at the bottom.

The Training Provider Type block contains:

• Training Provider Type
• Description
• Govt. Training Provider Type
• Closed check box
• Comments
• Explanation

• Enter Insert mode.
• Enter the new code in the Training Provider Type field of a blank record.
• Enter the corresponding description for this record in the Description field.
• Enter the Government Training Provider Type to which this record is mapped.
• Enter any comments or explanations as required.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

Training Provider Types MUST be unique. 

A Training Provider Type record cannot be created for a closed Government Training Provider Type.

A Training Provider Type cannot be re-opened if it is mapped to a closed Government Training Provider Type.

• Find the record to be modified.
• Modify the record as required.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Training Provider Type should not be modified.

To delete a Training Provider Type:

• Find the record to be deleted.
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
• Delete record.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Training Provider Type cannot be deleted if it has been used in a Government Training Provider Type record. It can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
