Purpose

To enable institutions to pair a Fee Type Group with a Fee Cap Calendar Instance and then record Overall Minimum and Maximum Assessment Amounts for the Fee Type Group.

This form is used to pair a Fee Type Group with a Fee Cap Calendar Instance and then, if required, record cap amounts (i.e. overall Minimum and Maximum Assessment amounts) for the Fee Type Group.

This form is accessed from:

• the main menu, and
• via the Fee Cap Calendars button on the Maintain Fee Type Group form (FINF2105).

The Fee Type Group block contains:

• Fee Type Group (LOV)

Fee Cap Calendar Instance block contains:

• Calendar Type (LOV)
• Start Date (display only)
• End Date (display only)
• Description (display only)
• Minimum Overall Assessment
• MaximumOverall Assessment

Rule/Notes:

Only one Fee Cap Calendar Type can be set for a Fee Type Group at any one point in time - i.e. you cannot set up overlapping dates for Fee Cap Calendar Types.

The Minimum and Maximum Overall Assessment fields are optional and are used to record the minimum and maximum cap amounts that a person can be assessed for the Fee Type Group within the specified Fee Cap Calendar instance.
The Minimum and Maximum Overall Assessment amounts override Maximum and Minimum Assessment cap amounts recorded in FINF2125.

The Fee Cap button navigates to the Maintain Fee Type Group Fee Cap form (FINF2125) in context of the Fee Type Group, from where a Fee Cap record can be created for the Fee Type Group Calendar Instance for the purposes of fee assessment.

Validations:

• A Fee Type Group Calendar Instance cannot be created if the Fee Type Group is closed.
• The Fee Type Group must have at least one Fee Type member before it can be assigned to a Fee Type Group Calendar Instance.
• Fee Types (contained within Fee Type Groups) cannot be paired with multiple overlapping Fee Cap Calendar Instances. For example, if Fee Type VET is in Group 1 and Group 2, then Group 1 and Group 2 cannot be paired with overlapping Fee Cap Calendar Instances.)
• The Maximum Overall Assessment amount cannot be less than the Maximum Assessment amount of child Fee Type Group Fee Caps.
• The Minimum Overall Assessment amount cannot be greater than any Maximum Assessment amount of child Fee Type Group Fee Caps.
