Purpose

To group VET and/or VET-TUIT Fee Types for the purposes of fee capping.

This form is used to group VET and/or VET-TUIT Fee Types for the purposes of fee capping.

Only VET or VET-TUIT System Fee Types with a Management Level of UNIT can belong to a Fee Type Group.

This form is accessed from the Main Menu.

The Fee Type Group block contains:

• Fee Type Group
• Description
• Closed (check box)

The Fee Type Group Member block contains:

• Fee Type (LOV)
• Description

Rule/Notes:

A Fee Type Group has a code and can contain one or more VET or VET-TUIT Fee Types.

A Fee Type Group may be closed when it is no longer used.

The Fee Cap Calendars button navigates to the Maintain Fee Type Group Calendar Instance form (FINF2120) from where you can pair a Fee Type Group with a Fee Cap Calendar Instance for the purposes of fee capping.

Validations:

• Only Fee Types with a System Fee Type of VET or VET-TUIT that have a Management Level of Unit can be assigned to a Fee Type Group.
• Only fees with a Fee Cap Indicator set to Y can be assigned to a Fee Type Group.
• A Fee Type cannot be added to a Fee Type Group if it has already been recorded in a student's Fee Assessment.
• A Fee Type cannot be deleted from a Fee Type Group if it has already been recorded in a student's Fee Assessment.
• The Fee Type members in a Fee Type Group must all have the same currency.
• Fee Types cannot be paired if they belong to a Fee Type Group associated with over-lapping Calendar Instances.
• Closed Fee Types cannot be added to a Fee Type Group.
