To maintain user-defined Prior Education Type values.

The purpose of this process is to maintain user-defined Prior Education Type values. The user-defined values must map to Government Prior Education Type values.

This information is used to categorise a students relevant prior education details to the appropriate government authorities during the AVETMISS Reporting processes.

This form is accessed via the main menu, or through STAF112P, via the Prior Education Type button at the bottom of the block.

The Prior Education Type block contains:

• Prior Education Type
• Description
• Govt Prior Education Type
• Closed check box
• Comments
• Explanation

To create a new Prior Education Type:

• Enter Insert mode.
• Enter the new code in the Government Prior Education Type field of a blank record.
• Enter the corresponding description for this record in the Description field.
• Enter the Government Prior Education code to which this record is mapped.
• Enter any comments or explanations as required.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Prior Education Type record cannot be created for a closed Government Prior Education Type.

A Prior Education Type cannot be re-opened if it is mapped to a closed Government Prior Education Type.

• Find the record to be modified.
• Modify the record as required.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Prior Education Type record should not be modified.

To delete a Government Prior Education Type:

• Find the record to be deleted.
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
• Delete record.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Prior Education Type record can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
